How DFB handles your data.

This Privacy Policy explains how DFB ("DFB", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with dfb.network, app.dfb.network, and the products and services we operate (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.
This Policy applies to "Personal Information" — information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to an individual. It applies to the Services listed above.
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, protocols, wallets, or platforms that link to or from the Services, or that you interact with through the Services (for example, external route and quote providers, block explorers, or RPC endpoints). Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
DFB is a non-custodial interface. We do not take custody of your assets, and we do not control the underlying blockchains, which are public and permissionless by design.
We collect information in three ways:
Information you provide directly. This may include a wallet address you connect, communications you send us (for example, support requests or emails), information you submit through forms, and any details you share when you sign up for updates or interact with our team.
Information from external sources. We may receive information about you from events, partners, social media platforms, analytics vendors, and other third parties, and combine it with information we already hold.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we and our providers may automatically collect technical and usage information — such as device and browser type, approximate location (derived from IP), pages viewed, referring URLs, interactions with features, and on-chain activity relating to DFB smart contracts — using cookies and similar tracking technologies. Because public blockchains are transparent, wallet addresses and transactions you broadcast are inherently public and not controlled by us.
We use the information we collect to: operate, maintain, and secure the Services; process and respond to your requests and provide support; display your positions, quotes, and activity; analyze and improve how the Services are used; communicate with you, including service and (where permitted) marketing messages; detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and comply with our legal obligations.
Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you; compliance with a legal obligation; our legitimate business interests (such as securing and improving the Services), balanced against your rights; and your consent, where we request it.
We may share information: with service providers and vendors who process it on our behalf (for example, hosting, analytics, RPC, and route/quote providers such as LiFi, 1inch, and 0x); with business and integration partners; with advertising and social media platforms, where applicable; in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets; and when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of DFB, our users, or others.
We do not sell your Personal Information for money. Some data sharing for analytics or advertising may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" under certain U.S. state laws; where that is the case, we honor applicable opt-out rights (see Section 8).
We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, comply with our legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and the applicable requirements. Information recorded on public blockchains is outside our control and generally cannot be altered or deleted.
We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect Personal Information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and no security system is impenetrable. You are responsible for safeguarding your own wallet, private keys, and credentials; we never ask for and cannot recover your private keys or seed phrase.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your Personal Information, and to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to opt out of certain data "sales," "sharing," or targeted advertising, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You can unsubscribe from marketing communications using the link in those messages. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Where required, we will verify your identity before acting on a request.
We may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you reside, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ. Where we transfer Personal Information out of the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
The Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from, individuals under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. We encourage you to review it periodically.
